Design Charrette

At the end of the second week of the semester, all ENDS students were challenged to transform a manila paper folder.  I chose to transform mine into an affordable, transportable A-frame cabin.

Train Station Case Study

I collaborated with 3 other studiomates to produce this model of Santiago Calatrava's Lisbon Oriente train station.  The model includes two levels of train platform.  The lower level serves the more local subway system, while the top services the commuter rail system.  The lower section has a more robust style and structure to provide support for the overhead tracks, while the airy canopy of the upper level allows light and air to flow through the space.

Beauty Project

In this project, students were challenged to create an object of beauty out of materials of their choice.  I chose wood and chain because I love  the natural beauty of wood.  I paired it with the welded chain because I wanted to create a calm, robust structure.  Welding was a hoot.
